Existing forests will be preserved and an allocation of the total proposed land area will be dedicated to outdoor public spaces

Access will be available to the Bruce Trail System to allow exceptional vistas on the property previously not accessible to hikers

New hiking trails will be designed into the old ski runs with additional commitment of space for community gardens giving the opportunity for educational tours to encourage the protection of indigenous plant species, at the same time allowing for peaceful bird watching and nature viewing from the comfort of the repurposed ski lift seats that will be considerately positioned along the new hiking trails, paying homage to our past

The natural heritage system will be preserved by maintaining existing trees, soil integrity and landscaping

Creation of approximately 5 acres of new landscaped greenspace above parking lot to host Farmer’s Markets, Arts in the Park in addition to other community, social and charity events

Landscape design will support natural features to reduce air pollution, water pollution and urban heat islands by using porous and light-coloured pavement materials and by planting trees and shrubs

Several cascading pools with waterfalls will be added to the property as part of the Nordic Spa

Infrastructure and building materials will support energy conservation, storm water management and green buildings, including green roof technology

Co-ordinate tours to local business establishments and offer educational guided tours to other natural tourist attractions
